    Manali

    Hadimba Devi Temple

    This is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in Manali.Dedicated to goddess Hadimba,it is one of the most important temples of region.The temple was built by Raja Bahadur Singh in 1553 AD and has been constructed in Pagoda style. The temple is dedicated to Hadimba-wife of Bhima. Bhima was one of the Pandavas who visited this place during their exile.

    Bijli Mahadev Temple

    Bijli Mahadev, the temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, is located across the river Beas, at some ten kilometers distance from Kullu. It is adorned with a staff that is sixty feet high and is visible from near by Kullu and Parvati valleys also. This sparkling temple has excellent view from near by mountains. Bijli Mahadev temple is called the ‘Temple of Lightening’ as it is believed that its staff attracts divine blessings, in the form of lightening, from presiding deity Lord Shiva.

    Basheshwar Mahadev Temple

    Basheshwar Mahadev Temple is a beautiful temple in Bhuntar, known for its stone carvings, flat shikharas and sculptures. The temple is located 4 km from the Bhuntar airport.     Prashar Lake

    This lake lies 45 km north of Mandi, with a three storied pagoda like temple dedicated to the sage Prashar. The Lake is located at an height of 2730 m above sea level. With deep blue waters, the Lake is held sacred to the sage Prashar and he is regarded to have meditated here. Framed by snow-capped peaks and looking down on fast flowing river Beas, the Lake can be approached via Drang. Every year in the month of June, famous traditional fair is held here.
